Fixing Broken Things

As this school year is coming to a close I'm beginning to reflect and think on what I've learned. I've learned how to cite papers properly in 3 different ways, I've learned about Ancient Greece and Rome, about propositional logic and our criminal justice system in Canada. I've also learned a lot of things outside of my courses, I've learned things about myself and I've learned things about the people I encounter everyday. One of the biggest things I think I have learned this school year is that there are A LOT of broken people. There are a lot of hurting people in this world. We all hurt, we all experience pain. There are a lot of broken people. There are people I talk to everyday, people I pass by everyday that are broken. And I know what can heal them. I know who can heal them.

I know Jesus.

This school year has taught me a lot. It's taught me how to live off of 3 hours sleep and still pay attention in a 3 hour lecture, it's taught me how to write efficient and good notes. It's taught me how to communicate better and it's taught me to be alone better. It's also taught me that I am broken. It's taught me that the only way that I will be healed and fixed is Jesus Christ. I am broken. The people I know are broken. Jesus is the ultimate healer.

This school year I've learned that I am not as okay as I thought. I am broken, but I know I am broken for God's glory. I struggle, I am struggling. I am struggling for God's glory. I am hurting so God can heal me. I am broken so God can fix me. I am weak. But God's grace is made perfect in my weakness.

As this school year finishes off I want this summer to be one of fixing broken things. I want to spend this summer fixing my brokenness with Jesus so that next year I can show the broken people in Toronto that the only one who can heal is Christ. I want to let God fix my broken emotions, relationships and lifestyle.

And I want you to as well. If you want to help keep me accountable with my walk this summer please don't hesitate to shoot me a message on Facebook, or by text.

Until next time
xoxo
